A BEP20 wallet is a crypto wallet that can hold and transfer tokens built on BNB Smart Chain using the BEP-20 token standard. It manages your BNB Chain address, signs transactions with your private key and pays network fees in BNB.
BEP-20 is the token standard of BNB Smart Chain. It defines how a token is created, transferred and displayed, much like ERC-20 does on Ethereum. Popular BEP-20 tokens include USDT (BEP20), USDC, CAKE and wrapped versions of BTC and ETH.
Your balance lives on-chain. The wallet holds the key that proves it is yours.
Keys and seed phrase are stored only on your phone. No one but you can move your BEP-20 tokens.

The best BEP20 wallet is one where you hold the private keys, can see which network each token is on, and can pay fees without hassle. IronWallet is a free, non-custodial option for iOS and Android with gasless BEP-20 transfers, built-in swaps and no KYC.
Not exactly. BNB is the native coin of BNB Smart Chain, while BEP-20 is the standard for tokens built on that network. A BEP20 wallet holds BNB and BEP-20 tokens at the same BNB Chain address, so in practice one wallet covers both.
Create a wallet in IronWallet, open BNB Smart Chain in your asset list and choose USDT. Your BEP20 address starts with 0x and is the same address you use for BNB on this network.
Normally yes, because network fees on BNB Smart Chain are paid in BNB. With IronWallet, supported BEP-20 transfers can pay the fee in the token you send, so you can move USDT BEP20 without holding BNB first.
Tokens sent on a different network than the receiving address supports may not arrive and can be lost. Always check that the network is BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) before you send or share your address.
No. IronWallet is non-custodial, so your keys and seed phrase are stored only on your device. The seed phrase is the only way to restore your wallet, and IronWallet cannot recover or reset it.
Every transaction on BNB Smart Chain pays a network fee, called gas, to the validators who process it. Fees on BNB Chain are low compared with Ethereum, usually a few cents or less, and transfers typically confirm in seconds.
The catch is that gas is normally paid only in BNB. If your wallet holds BEP-20 tokens but no BNB, you cannot send them. That is the problem gasless transactions solve. With IronWallet, supported BEP-20 transfers can cover the fee in the token itself, so a low BNB balance no longer blocks your transaction.
Fees depend on network load, and IronWallet does not set them. To estimate a fee before you send, use the IronWallet fee calculator.
There are several kinds of BEP20 wallets. The right one depends on how you use crypto. Exchange wallets are convenient, but the exchange controls your funds and can limit withdrawals. Browser extensions give you self-custody but are built for desktop. Hardware wallets offer strong offline protection at the cost of a device and more steps. IronWallet aims for the middle ground: full self-custody with mobile convenience.
